This beautiful shell reminds us of our roots in the ancient sea, and of our kinship with all life. We chose to make our mikveh in this shape because of the spiral's symbolic cosmic connections to life: from the DNA in our cells to the ocean waters from which we evolved to the vast galaxies of the universe.
